Hello! My name is Dani, and first things first: thank you for your interest in this silly little project! If you're also looking to submit a card of your own,
you can do so here.
Please keep in mind that this whole thing is being organized by just two people, despite the fact that we intend to feature many creatives' works here, so patience and understanding as we continue fill the site would be greatly appreciated. Not all cards will be filled at first -- there are 78 cards in the classic tarot deck after all -- but we'd love for the community to fill as many of them as possible!
This venture would not have been possible without the minds of Moss (@WardenEater on twitter) and Jack (@gothcartel2 on twitter), both of whom facilitated discussions n ideas about a 'repository' of sorts for the cards that people make, with a function to draw a card for themselves from those posed... so I thought why not give it a shot? Turns out it's not as hard as we thought! I'm just the one doing the technical lifting (although I, too, have posed my own cards), but you can find me on @greatswards on twitter as well!
❛ ⸻ THE FOOL.
UPRIGHT: beginnings, freedom, innocence, originality, adventure, idealism, spontaneity
REVERSED: reckless, careless, distracted, naive, foolish, gullible, stale, dull
card by @mugenxiv.
The Fool is interpreted as the protagonist of a story, and the major arcana are the path the Fool takes through the great mysteries of life.
card by @eliguydesan.
The Fool symbolizes new beginnings and having faith for the future, putting your best foot forward and not being afraid to take the leap. If you're hesitant or scared to do something, The Fool invites you to do it anyway, to do it scared but willing to try. This idea is Elinor's primary drive throughout his time adventuring; no matter how hard it gets, even in the deepest depths of despair, there's still that little reminder for him to take the next step.BONUS: associated song!

"What could be more foolish than commiting oneself to an impossible mission?"By: Saya Kiyohara
card by @duskhardt.
My character, Ephraim, is very much symbolized by the fool. Specifically, he's got that almost reckless sense of wonder and curiosity about the world, despite its hardships, he's blind to seeing the harsh reality of it all. The Fool is typically represented as a sort of jester-esque figure walking with nothing but a satchel about to fall off a cliff, but in my interpretation (inspired by a beautiful tarot card design on dA) The Fool is nude, covered by a sheer drape, walking among nature. The nudity (which, in my gpose, he's wearing safety shorts) is a metaphor for baring one's heart in the open and for being unguarded from the harshness of the world. Above him are plants, and dappled sunlight shines on his bare skin, yet he remains unaware that the branches he walks on are brambles and thorns. One small misstep means pain is sure to be present. On a personal level, I love that the Fool both represents the start and the end of a journey, if you see it from both sides.
❛ ⸻ THE MAGICIAN.
UPRIGHT: willpower, desire, being resourceful,, skill, ability, concentration, manifestation
REVERSED: manipulation, cunning, trickery, wasted talent, illusion, deception
card by @Rchaeus_Vient.
Vientus is a pharmacist/alchemist that has tasked himself with finding the cure for agonizing aether-born illnesses-- as he himself has one that is slowly eroding his body. Highly intelligent and a leader in manufacturing medicines and designer drugs, Vientus is selfless in his belief to help anyone in pain-- but he also follows his own moral creed. His creations consists of four virtues; To subdue Pain,
To reinstitute Slumber,
To manufacture Pleasure,
To defy Fate. Each vow (drug) directly relates to the Major Arcana and alchemical elements. His indexes relate to the Magician's personal creed 'as above, so below'. The lower index is partially extended to symbolize Vientus' own hesitation to leave the plane. Each index is shining to replace the use of a wand (He cannot use aether/magic). In replacement to the rose garden/lily of the valley he is standing in rising water with clocks behind him to signify the fleeting time to subdue his fate, it has taken full priority over being the aspiration he should be as a pioneer of modern medicine.

❛ ⸻ THE HIGH PRIESTESS.
UPRIGHT: unconscious, intuition, mystery, spirituality, higher power, inner voice
REVERSED: repressed intuition, hidden motives, superficiality, confusion, cognitive dissonance
card by @profanegoddess.
Velka has an intense relationship with the unconscious mind, and whenever she takes a part of someone into herself she becomes more like them. There's a constant war between her and the many dream realities her time-addled mind has created.I liked the motifs of the pillars that are on the typical HP card because Gelmorra makes strong use of them in it's architecture. I also like to think of her as being reverent to a religion that has been forgotten by most that venerates the safety of the depths of the earth and fears the elementals above.
card by @thezlain.
The High Priestess traditionally sits between two pillars: one black and one white. The two pillars symbolize duality— masculine and feminine, darkness and light. Between them is a veiled space, separating the conscious and subconscious realms, the seen and unseen. The High Priestess is the keeper of these dualities, and the path between. In this depiction, Zlayer serves as the High Priestess in her unfettered, unbound form. The top-rung voidsent situates herself on a throne between an Avatar and a Sineater, polarities of dark and light given flesh. She is in tune with both modes, and occupies the space between with her knowing. Behind them, a void portal looms as a reminder of other worlds and her ability to traverse between shards. Her power is implicit— in the dark mist seething from her robe, in the ability to suspend a moon in her hands, in the conjured aetherial tear, in the safeguarded tome— one need not ask for an explicit demonstration of her power.
❛ ⸻ THE EMPRESS.
UPRIGHT: divine feminine, sensuality, fertility, nurturing, creativity, beauty, abundance, nature
REVERSED: nsecurity, overbearing, negligence, smothering, lack of growth, lack of progress
card by @gaylentines.
The choice for the card was due to its themes of love and success- as of 6.5- Sappho is happy with a loving girlfriend in Zero and is recovering from Endwalker and all that came before. Her path is looking up, and even reversed has good fortune, and the card also represents femininity, and Sappho is Hyper-Feminine so that matched well.As for the card itself, the elpis blooms and planet behind her representing her triumph over all that was ENW and before. She holds her red mage weapon proudly, and with the focus attached to make a staff as reference to the posing of a lot of other Empress tarot cards. She also has the azem symbol behind her head- its supposed to mimic the holy halos in older christian art while also being related to fourteen and her as a shard of Azem. But the underlying reason to all of this was I just thought it looked really cool.
@
❛ ⸻ THE EMPEROR.
UPRIGHT: stability, structure, protection, authority, control, practicality, focus, discipline
REVERSED: tyrant, domineering, rigid, stubborn, lack of discipline, recklessness
card by @eliguydesan.
The Emperor most closely relates to Remember's strongest values of being a hero, as well as the driving force behind them being a paladin---they seek to protect and to defend, to be a pillar of stability for those in need, and isn't afraid of confronting any challenges to those ideals. The Emperor symbolizes the most positive parts of masculinity, which Remember embodies to the fullest as the Warrior of Light.
card by @evnomias.
❛ ⸻ THE HIEROPHANT.
UPRIGHT: tradition, social groups, conventionality, conformity, education, knowledge, beliefs
REVERSED: rebellion, unconventionality, non-conformity, new methods, ignorance
card by @ZindeloFFXIV.
"What is taught as truth and doctrine must be unlearnt as you discover that your path is your own."Zindelo's entire character arc so far has been the movement from what The Hierophant represents towards its reversed version.
card by @gravyffxiv.
My OC, Gravy, was brought into a life of tradition and mindless dogma. It took her too long to break free from it, and the concept of simply following something because it's always been like that is abhorrent for her. She believes everyone must question that which is placed upon them by elders or those that come before them, and really look for the way it feels right for them. That is why the card being reversed was chosen, even if I did make the card to work on the regular position. The style of it also connects to her own use of technology to break free from her past, and how she looks to the future and the immense possibilities of advanced technology to guide everyone further. With the Hierophant having two other characters with him, I considered it fitting to choose two that are actually one (Omega-F and M), another way to break with tradition.
card by @PrideOfHalone.

❛ ⸻ THE LOVERS.
UPRIGHT: love, unions, partnerships, relationships, choices, romance, balance, unity
REVERSED: disharmony, imbalance, conflict, detachment, bad choices, indecision
card by @loveroflolth.
like harmony, like heart — yours and mine, as one.the lovers card depicts a deep connection & understanding between people. in my card, you can see my wol (nouri) and venat touching one another’s faces in understanding while nouri clutches a dagger in hand that venat tenderly holds. nouri & venat are deeply aware of their place with one another and within the cycle and their promise to one another, to wait for one another through the millennia and meet again. they have a clear, holy, absolute trust and love towards one another and their purpose.

card by @ATARTSHORIZON_.
"Two souls intertwined. One true love they did find."The lovers represent Nerissa's insecurities of self-worth, her ambition to love, to grow and experience what life has to offer while also struggling to accept her true nature, and that her values, personal belief must adjust, and that she must find herself before finding another

Or would you see the other side of me?we seek closure, acceptance of our peers, those we cherish. two souls bound so tight that their aether alone feels united. this is the power of the lovers, natasha and freya.
❛ ⸻ THE CHARIOT.
UPRIGHT: success, ambition, determination, willpower, control, self-discipline, focus
REVERSED: forceful, no direction, no control, powerless, aggression, obstacles
card by @steppesongbird /
screenshot made by @birbvanilla.
‘And so they stand, a child of war ready to fight, to protect not only their own but those who taught them a most important lesson: Compassion, Hope.’Khiri represents The Chariot. The call to protect their own in the Dragonsong War, the willpower, determination to survive when driven by rage and vengeance. The lesson of self-discipline to abstain, the opportunity to travel, to learn, to grow…all of these call to the traits of the Chariot, and the journey and development of their evolution from dragon to walking among men.
card by @DomitorsBane.
Saviour complex ties with succour and providence meanings of the card. Contrast and duality is represented in colors - black and white for good/evil, red and green for Conflict/Growth, as well as two individuals, one having two heads. It is intentionally left ambiguous whether the scythe is piercing Shadowkeeper or if it's holding the blade (back? close?) in clenched teeth. It's ultimately up to the watcher to get their read on whether this is a controlled situation, Growth controlling Conflict, or the other way around.
card by @Feral_Tara.
card by @WildWoL_Ishgard.
Sthal's been through the wringer in so many ways, but he never stops pushing forward. The Chariot was an obvious pick for him, with it's meanings of Self-assurance, Victory, and Self-confidence.As for the shot itself, the Chariot is often portrayed as a king leading a chariot made up of two differently colored horses. With that idea as a jumping off point (and throwing Sleipnir in as that's his canon mount) all that was left was to find a spot and get to work :D
❛ ⸻ STRENGTH.
UPRIGHT: courage, bravery, confidence, compassion, self-confidence, inner power
REVERSED: self-doubt, weakness, low confidence, inadequacy, cowardice, forcefulness
card by @dirtyelfb.
Funnily enough, I had actually taken this picture just a few hours before seeing anything about community tarot cards, and yet by chance I think it aligned really well with Strength! My lightwarden Kairos (previously my wol J'darzi - any pronouns) is in the form of a giant lion chimera, sprouting from the maw of a Forgiven Reticence. In both cards, you see a woman (Minfilia, in this case) cloaked in white holding the chin of the lion. She is in complete gentle control, despite the fierce visage the creature wears. While the lion is a symbol of courage, it is also a symbol of the destructive nature of untampered bravery that can lead to self destruction. As this lightwarden J'darzi at the lowest point she could possibly be in any timeline, it felt fitting. His downfall would be his unstoppable nature - a body that could not keep up with spirit, which would succumb to the light. A eternal punishment for her hubris. Yippee!!
card by @greatswards.
"whatsoever your hand finds to do, do it with your might."this card's associations with inner strength and will are what drew me in the most. makade makwa, named after the black bear, is shown holding the mouth of a bear, while both she and it look at the viewer fiercely. she has conquered herself, and now stands tall and prideful -- the bear's likeness painted on her face in a red that resembles its eyes and contrasts the soft, gentle blue of her dress.
card by @AlaMhigosLion.
My character M'ozzi fits most with Strength! Shes known as The Lion due to her Half Hrothgar characteristics and her well known strength and willpower and the card is known to depict a lion, I decided to include both her and a normal lion to fit with the tradition.
card by @gelidonut.
Inner strength, courage, bravery, confidence, compassion, taming, control, overcoming self-doubt ━━'Strength is not in the way one wields an instrument of death. It is in the tenderness with which the strong hold the fragility of life.'
card by @TheScarlettYeti.
On strength I tried to recreate each element on one of the really old tarrot card art styles, every detail is there just in final fantasy :)
card by @gutsngores.
-god devouring wolfstrength is shown through the eyes of hunger, confidence as they stare you down for their next target. Freya has yet to be defeated, and her strength shows just that.
card by @a__stara.
Astara through out her journey has always had this small light that gave her the courage to move forward as the Warrior of Light. Through all the pain, seeing her friends return to the aether stream, she learns to carry the burden while she leans on to her comrades within the Scion of the Seventh Dawn and her Guardian Emya. Even between the couple, Astara lends her strength to Emya by showing compassion, patience and willingness to be open to him as he takes his own journey for self healing from his trauma.

❛ ⸻ THE HERMIT.
UPRIGHT: self-reflection, introspection, contemplation, withdrawal, solitude, search for self
REVERSED: loneliness, isolation, recluse, being anti-social, rejection, returning to society
card by @carminepath.
“A lonely wanderer, seeking to learn what could be gained from solitude. Someone led astray after so many losses, disconnecting from the world’s noises to hear their inner voice. Walking through dark nights, The Hermit is guided by a dim light. Their destination is their home; their own self. Upright Hermit is surrounded by reflection, contemplation and inner guidance. Reversed Hermit deals with fear, anxiety, isolation and the dangers of the path they chose.”A rolling stone gathers no moss, that’s what Minamoto no Rin thinks. After leaving Doma, the young auri woman got used to walking and traveling. Often, to work by the side of the scions. Sometimes, to seclude herself and learn from inner quiet. Just like her former teacher, Gosetsu, that became a wandering monk. Rin’s samurai’s sword is her guiding light, the lantern to her Hermit.
card by @ShyEmmaXIV.
The Hermit is a seeker for the knowledge that comes from within. A lonely wanderer in the path of the night, she searches for that which can only be gained with long periods of solitude - the inner voice.
card by @summeroii.
“In solitude I find peace, and in that peace I find salvation.”

A seeker of knowledge prone to isolation, Rhys fights between distancing themselves out of fear and their need walk alone.
card by @ilbers_hideki.
“And I fear no evil .”The card depicts my main character Hideki, his persistence, thirst for knowledge and ineradicable hope. Unlike the classical card, he is depicted not in the desert, but in a night forest, which means the fullness but also the fleetingness of life.
❛ ⸻ THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE.
UPRIGHT: change, cycles, fate, decisive moments, luck, fortune, unexpected events
REVERSED: bad luck, lack of control, clinging to control, unwelcome changes, delays
card by @heyhelloitdoe.
The cycle of fate has made its turn, and from it a new self emerges.Whether it is by luck or the efforts of our own two hands, the end result is the same; But we are not.

❝ you toe the line. here is where your soul lingers and your body bids you farewell, but you are not yet buried, my child—merely stuck. what would she think, if you abandoned her now?ode to a reluctant knight, pinned to the wheel by their wings, bound by noblesse oblige.

❛ ⸻ JUSTICE.
UPRIGHT: justice, karma, consequence, accountability, law, truth, honesty, integrity, cause and effect
REVERSED: injustice, retribution, dishonesty, corruption, dishonesty, unfairness, avoiding accountability
card by @imbertain.
A figure bears a fallen knight's blade in one hand, Nald'Thal's scale in the other. Arismont dons a veil of night, as his face matters not-- he is every lowborn man: the farmer, the craftsman, the midwife. He is the community that welcomed his parents, not the Syndicate that rob from them. While only the Traders may judge the price of their greed, it is Justice that ensures they pay.Despite being a Dark Knight, Arismont belongs to Ul'dah. Ishgard only further enforced class solidarity to him, but it's his love for his personal home that motivates him to seek out something better for the people who sacrificed everything to get him to this point. He wants the upper class to feel the retribution of the labor they've stolen, out of love for the robbed just as much as hatred of the thief.
card by @xivundertheveil.
I just really loved the design!! i worked hard to learn how to mod a minion for this pose lol
❛ ⸻ THE HANGED MAN.
UPRIGHT: sacrifice, waiting, uncertainty, lack of direction, perspective, contemplation
REVERSED: stalling, disinterest, stagnation, avoiding sacrifice, standstill, apathy
card by @RubyRedAether.
THE HANGED MANsacrifice • surrender • altruism
resurgence • impulsivity • reluctance
card by @DalithaMW.
The Hanged Man calls to Alice's themes of sacrifice, of trials and tribulations, being at the center of a crossroads- a moment in time when one might find salvation or damnation. Despite the precariousness of her situation, one eye remains open- signifying awareness of the damnation she faces. She is hung upon a statue of Thal- her patron God. In her own conception, Thal is judging her- she has sins that stain her blood black, and stands upon the precipice of death or redemption. Yet, so too is she mirrored along his sword- for she is, ever, an implement of her God's will.
card by @thiefswathe.
Nico'to is better for the Chariot, but in his current state of character in RP, there is no better card than the Hanged Man. He is entering a period of his life where he is met with newfound wisdom, trials and sacrifice. He is also reunited with his sister, Ninoh, who is the embodiment of intuition, divination and prophecy, which the Hanged Man card also represents. He is going to be gaining new perspective, and come Dawntrail, will begin a new journey for himself.
card by @windupkaine.

Leda Blysswyn falls victim to her scholarly natures, pouring over texts and knowledge to make the best decision for her interests. A struggle between lighter and darker paths, but she may never step down them in the first place with her indecisiveness. She stalls for herself, although time does not wait. She feels suspended, resisting what needs to be done to move on with her life. The Hanged Man traditionally showcases a man hanging upside down by his leg, arms bound behind his back, halo behind him. Leda doesn't have a halo, more so the sun itself. Its presence along with the moon depict that night and day, time itself, still goes on without her. Feathers crawl up from Leda's collarbone to hips as a portent of what is yet to come if she learns to surrender and let go.
card by @Quinty_Imara.
He's sacrificed himself three times over already.
❛ ⸻ DEATH.
UPRIGHT: transformation, endings, change, transition, letting go, release
REVERSED: fear of change, repeating negative patterns, resisting change, stagnancy, decay
card by @aegregori.
i was originally planning for the tower for saint, it's been a key note of his for a long time, but when comparing who he is now to who he was before, gosh. the symbolism for the death card in present times suits him so well. he's ended one cycle and now been given a new beginning! he's undergone metamorphasis, become a new person, a better version of himself.and then a more literal meaning of death, as he's experienced it multiple times; we think of death as something harsh and brutal as does he, but it can also be gentle, kind. it can be merciful and he, can be merciful.
card by @LostAgainGaming.
A being in blackened armor, a white scythe, 5 flames for change and Death's flag's petals.
Kit is Death, a Reaper of the Void (coincidentally, the Thirteenth shard). Death is change and transformation, beginnings and endings- not something to be feared. We all die at some point- it's just that some, like Kit, choose to die later rather than sooner.
Allow yourself to grow and transform. You are not who you were even a day ago, and that is okay.
card by @mav_wav.
Ayanga Qalli - dead at the hands of the gnath, body and soul taken over by a mantis-like parasite from the space between worlds now known by the same name, now only "alive" in the sense that a dead god still harbors immense power, alive beyond any of our own definitions. In this new form, she hones her very body into a biological weapon with which she loves the world, hence the moniker, Weapon of Love.
card by @seaswallowsall.
Death can represent the end of one era and the transition to a new one. I chose to have Esme represent Charon, shuttering those across the river to their new start, facilitating the death of their predicaments. There is fear, and it is not a gentle or kind process, but a difficult confrontation for oneself.
card by @scionsinner.
an angel held me like a child.
card by @jeviistail.
death was my first thought for tarot card for my oc elena for several reasons. i thought the very literal meaning and imagery of death already fit her already, but considering the fact that she is an au ra who was revived and is essentially a living "corpse" possessing her own body, the fact that the tarot card for death means new beginnings also fit her EXTREMELY well.i wanted to keep it all extremely simple, so i didn't do much in terms of visuals, but i wanted to include zenos in it somehow. mostly because in my mind, stormblood was very much a new beginning for the wol. an expansion that brought about a lot of change, especially with the fact that the wol lost to zenos for the first time. thought it'd be interesting to have that involved, along with elena's lore, to kind of culminate into something about new beginnings and change being brought about.
card by @Westlaketea.
An attempt to understand mortality and change for someone who has never experienced it but is now locked in a cycle of rebirth. The only way for him to calm down is to bring death to everything else so that the rebirths will end.
card by @ValveteenBun.
These are two parts of my character Oliver. Vanja, himself in the white before he died, and then there is him in black in current day. I feel this card represents him the most due to the motif of his story, and for the fact that he has one choice he has to make for his future: Will he heal and regain his kind self and a brighter future (Vanja), or will he seek revenge and let his hatred consume him. Only time will tell.

Having walked amongst the living as well as the dead Malkia bears not her own soul nor has any recollection of her former life. She is an empty vessel who wanders yearning to be filled. The water below her is a representation of the River Styx and her crossing; the Raven her own lost soul with which she cannot reunite.
❛ ⸻ TEMPERANCE.
UPRIGHT: balance, peace, patience, moderation, calm, tranquillity, harmony, serenity
REVERSED: imbalance, excess, extremes, discord, recklessness, hastiness
card by @yunalesca.
" held in the arms of the moon, and of sleep. "Althea, the Dreamspinner; also known as the Mother of Dreams by those she's once guided. A majority of her character is inspired by the Norns from Norse mythology, with her main purpose being to weave dreams into fates, and guide those in need along the right path to fulfill their destinies. She maintains harmony between the dream realm and the material realm, and cares for the land--- subsequently tending to the lifestream. She's the embodiment of inner peace and harmony with everything she touches.
card by @grapecatboy.
both characters are shards of each other. they have both been on opposing factions to each other for over 80 years and are, in a sense, balanced. Florentina (our elezen, they/she) is from the Thirteenth while Soomyn (our viera, she/they) is from the source. Florentina was brought to the source through a proto-voidsent portal on complete accident.they're positioned on the card in such a way to represent both meanings to it upon being upright or reversed.
❛ ⸻ THE DEVIL.
UPRIGHT: oppression, addiction, obsession, dependency, excess, powerlessness, limitations
REVERSED: independence, freedom, revelation, release, reclaiming power, reclaiming control
card by @afflatusmisery.
"A spell is just words...until it isn't."
card by @WindupLuno.
The Devil is a card built on temptation, preying upon the weak.
A perfect representation of what Luno and his voidsent avatar's relationship. Luno pacted with the other side in an act of desperation, wishing for power. Power that he had longed for, to the point of obsession. But in doing so, he became the very thing he hated. A voidsent wearing the flesh of a man. Eager to taste the aether of others. But there is hope, for the Devil reversed promises freedom from such a fate.
card by @whiteassnjor.
You are your own worst enemy. Kaj is his own captor and the prisoner. Upright, he is lustful, selfish, materialistic and vain. But when you reverse him, and see what lies within, he only truly seeks freedom from the chains of the past, and control over his own life and destiny.
card by @thezlain.
Obsession, excess, powerlessness, restriction.Xane is pictured with a snake, who is a representation of one of his longest standing lovers, the cruel and beautiful Gin. He's posed after Cabanel's "Fallen Angel" painting of Lucifer. His burning crown of thorns shows a rejection of the wretched divinity that he's fated for, as he is constantly fighting light corruption, resisting the insanity of becoming a sineater.
❛ ⸻ THE TOWER.
UPRIGHT: disaster, destruction, upheaval, trauma, sudden change, chaos
REVERSED: averting disaster, delaying the inevitable, resisting change
card by @quinty_imara.
I chose the tower because Raih'a has a lot of themes of destruction and sudden change. He's constantly trying to hold back a lot of his power, lest he cause more unwanted destruction.I hope it gets across that he doesn't want to cause the chaos he does in the card.
card by @mooglings.
A farmer toils in his garden, exasperated. His flowers have died again. Though flood and storm and famine, they have failed each and every time to bloom. And yet, as he tips his hat off and wipes his brow, he hasn't the foresight to see underneath the fertile soil and the intricate network of roots the flowers have sown for themselves, ready to thrive if only given the chance. They will bloom, but only those who wait for the morrow will know. This analogy encompasses the whole of Akhani and her journey thusfar. Through every tragedy and trauma, she has forced herself back onto her feet no matter how defeated she feels. Akhani Osei will bloom, but only she who waits for the morrow will know.
card by @bigcroclady.
The lore behind the card is that Kohko's ancient is Athena and she learned this at the end of Pandaemonuim which completely destroyed her world view and needed time to rethink pretty much her entire existence. This required time for her to think and time for a way to have Athena's soul contained without accidentally killing Kohko in the process. (also for the tower part of the tower I think Shadowbringer works really well with how huge the sword is).
card by @dinkylunky.
The tower is a very powerful card for the character and creator. In the first week of playing the character, her tarot was read with the future being The Tower — chaos and upheaval, the sudden change. Ever since then, time and time again disaster and sudden change has wiped away everything the character has worked for.She spites Nymeia the Spinner of Fate, and attempts to hold close all she holds still. A younger variation screams as she vaults below afraid of what is to come, while her older self knows she cannot stop change anyways, and lets go.
card by @ofporcelain_.
Vanka is the Tower, upright can mean unexpected change, catastrophe, upside down can mean an unwillingness to change. The swords in the image represent the Frilaux’s warmonger tendencies and the fact that is what they’ve been known for for centuries. The chain connecting the black starbird to Vanka represent her inability to change this, feeling chained to her duty as Heir. The Tower isn’t all bad however, it can also mean liberation. The Tower usually represents an end to something, in Vanka’s case it meant her exile and the end to her marriage. Personal growth cannot happen without an end to something else.
card by @RennaFaireFF14.
"'The Old Ways are lost!' you sang as you flew, and I wondered why...."The Tower represents great disaster, after which the effected person(s) can leave behind such strife and begin anew.Leif Renna is a self-exiled Viera whose very identity has been erased by the Empire. This card represents the sudden hardship that changed his life forever and forced him to embark on a new journey in Eorzea. Fitting that a tower is what ultimately collapses the very nation that caused Leif such loss and change. As Leif is forced to build himself a new life in a strange new land, so too must Garlemald.
card by @verflames.
Valerius has a lot of fire imagery and is fire aspected. I wanted to show that, while the traditional Tower shows people escaping the flames as they leave the spire, Valerius would stay behind to be engulfed--or perhaps be the flames himself. The spire his sword is stuck in on his card is a spire in The Pillars. He was raised Ishgardian by a the head of a noble house and felt stifled by his status as an outsider + high society. He struggles greatly with mental health struggles and can be unstable. He can cause blow ups despite his good intentions. The Tower's changes are abrupt and intense--just like him.
card by @DevoriXIV.
I actually hadn't posted to XIV twitter in a long time, but when I saw the tarot prompt I immediately thought of The Tower and The Crystal Tower and had to come out of a hiatus to get the idea out of my head, in the form of sin eaters overrunning The Crystarium of Norvrandt to stay true to the card's upright traumatic and catastrophic meaning.

"And in the end, he would remain embraced by the arms of upheaval."My character is about three years old now and his evolution has been one of the most drastic of all I have navigated. He was made to be a ray of sunshine, to exude an air of joy and laughter in everyone he met. He was never meant to fall in love as a character, but unfortunately, he did. Several times. The Tower was by far the best choice for him.
card by @thezlain.
A tower looms at the top of a hill, and lightning strikes the structure. At once, people leap from the burning building, fleeing a circumstance that no longer serves them. The leap is uncomfortable and risky, but brings about necessary change. In this take on the tower, the void-tainted Sver leaps from the telephoroi tower that looms over Garlemald. The pinnacle symbol of the downfall of the empire. But Sver abandoned Garlemald long before it could fall— absconding to a cave in the north where she was discovered, nearly frozen to death, by an otherworldly spider. She entered that cave with three eyes, and emerged with nine. Her freedom granted on one premise: rather than solely abandon the empire, she would become a weapon against it, and all who stood for it. Even after it's fall. This card serves to demonstrate Sver's fleeing, sudden change, and all the violent risks that come with it.
❛ ⸻ THE STAR.
UPRIGHT: hope, inspiration, positivity, faith, renewal, healing, rejuvenation
REVERSED: hopelessness, despair, negativity, lack of faith, despondent
card by @evnomias.
I chose The Star in particular to represent my WoL as it just felt very appropriate for him. The Star is hope, faith, healing - all very important aspects to J'ahrazi's story and character arc.Using Ultima Thule as a backdrop was very intentional, as it is the Star reversed - hopelessness, despair, and a lack of faith, as well as having the many dead stars as a perfect set piece to play as the central large star.
card by @GiganDevice_.
"At sun's rise, the dawn begets a new day. May the waters flow with everlasting change to welcome the peace."I chose the star because it reflects the incoming good of my OC's journey. The star follows the tower's fall, after tragedy has struck and now is the time for recovery. My OC and I have been through so much that it feels like I'm past the general trauma of my life.
card by @rosendark6.
My Elezen Vaya has a spatial thematic. His hands have a space pattern due to his tempering to Nymeia, and he has visions of space and the stars. The Star card just seemed appropriate, plus I love glittery things and making them glow.
card by @nyahdiax.
The Star represents hope, inspiration, positivity, and faith, which are prominent themes in my OC N'ya's story. When this card is pulled upright, it's usually a message to have confidence in the universe and trust that good things are coming your way. When pulled in reverse, it represents a loss of faith or hope. N'ya struggles with depression but does her best to stay hopeful and forge ahead, so this card felt very fitting for her! She's also a bard and loves to perform, so she's a star in my eyes no matter what :D
card by @OhGoshOhwe.
A'nhabi has always been a beacon of hope to those around her, but even she has moments where she feels the heavy weight of being the Warrior of Light on her shoulders. I thought the Star had so much potential, especially relating to Endwalker. This card was made as a set of two, to represent the upright and inverse positions.
card by @OhGoshOhwe.
❛ ⸻ THE MOON.
UPRIGHT: illusion, intuition, uncertainty, confusion, complexity, secrets, unconscious
REVERSED: fear, deception, anxiety, misunderstanding, misinterpretation, clarity, understanding
card by @royalgore13.
Ruomas's story narrative follows the arc of someone who was deceived and betrayed, who's lost faith in everything, and slowly has to regain it on their own. However, it's to be noted that Ruomas's greatest enemy was never an outside force, it was themself being unable to accept a truth: that no man can replace a god, and to bear that burden alone is to do the impossible. For the majority of their life, they're best represented by the moon reversed, and following acceptance of the truth they denied themself for so long, that switches to the moon upright, symbolizing an uncertain but hopeful future. The moon also has an on the nose representation of Ruomas's lover, a keeper of the moon miqo'te.
card by @thexteras.
"And so The Lover's Emissary
bares bloodsoaked fang
and claw unto the night,
her hound most faithful..."
card by @afflatusmisery.
"The Moon (reversed) shines on the truth."
card by @snowboundstark.
Honestly, while my original goal was to try and find a Pentacles suit card that, well, suited my WoL, I ended up realizing the Moon fit her best. Both it's upright meanings relating to anxiety, fear, and intuition, as well as it's reverse reading regarding facing of said fears, inner confusion and repressed emotions. I couldn't think of a better card to represent her personal growth arc.
card by @LamiaDaerva.
*"Your fears and your anxiety continue to plague you. In this darkness, let the light of the moon illuminate the way. Do not get lost in the cloud that hangs over you. Focus on what you know and use that to make your decisions rather than in the unknown." *Lamia herself is very much like the moon, having her many phases. She chooses to hide behind the clouds and is not quite as extroverted or shining like the sun. A lot of her motifs are the moon, where she herself has moon-like elements like the color of her hair, her skin (which is a bluish grey). She herself is haunted by her past because of the trauma she had from Werlyt. An illusion of her past created by her memories clouded by fear and trauma still plague her.

I wanted to express the illusions, hidden truths, the unknown and complexity of our intuition. The Upright meaning of The Moon card.
card by choco.
The upright Moon meaning is also associated with illusions. There may be a hidden truth in your life that you need to uncover. The Moon cautions you from accepting what things seem to be.It may be time to dig a little deeper and allow the light to shine upon the fallacies in your life. But tit also has anxieties, fears and things deep down, Mira, in her journey with herself, she must overcome those fears haunting her.

Under the Moonlight.
card by @maidenofishgard.
Inspired by my OC's deep connection to Menphina, the moon goddess, it was only natural to create for the Moon.Upright, the moon brings about deception, fear, secrets, insecurity, and mental confusion. Not unlike that of nightfall on a familiar forest, such things thrive in the dark and can only be illuminated by the light of the moon.
card by @thescarlettyeti.
My take on the Moon card, showing the wolf/moon that's a big part of the card.

❛ ⸻ THE SUN.
UPRIGHT: happiness, success, optimism, vitality, joy, confidence, happiness, truth
REVERSED: blocked happiness, excessive enthusiasm, pessimism, unrealistic expectations, conceitedness
card by @sundropflowerrs.
Vaeh’s entire aesthetic is bright, happy, and sunflowers! I chose the sun because it represents everything that Vaeh is.Pulling this card can represent good fortune, happiness, joy, and harmony. It’s all the things Vaeh would wish for someone. She wishes to share her light with this world & those around her ♡
card by @dishwasherjuice.
Would you believe me if I told you the reference pic was the meme of the horse on a beach with the 'MAN' caption..
Anyways! Leto's story is so plagued by sun imagery and motifs that I felt it would be odd not to do this card first. I had the idea to do a sun tarot gpose for him a very long time ago that would feature his sun-shaped scarification tattoo from his village in Golmore, but never got around to actually making the mod due to some big changes in my life happening around the same time. I originally picked scenery that had both greenery and desert as I wanted to pay homage to his roots as a Ronkan Era Viis, which, by themselves, are based off of certain SWANA cultures separate from the overarching Incan culture of Ronka itself... And then I got overwhelmed by all the color tweaking I had to do to try and make the palette cohesive. So I scrapped the greenery idea and just went to find a spot that was full desert instead.

I think The Sun fits him not only because they are Azem but their personality being overly joyous and confident.
card by @ziphira_bunny.
Raeya has always been described as a bright, sunny person. She’s the embodiment of joy and optimism, always seeking to brighten someone’s day!
card by @Orion_bun.
The Sun symbolizes optimism, confidence, and fulfillment. Orion, my character, embodies these qualities, and the goal is to uplift anyone around him. To create this card, I made several symbolic changes to the traditional imagery. In Aglaia, the Sun is depicted in the sky, radiating strongly and surrounded by a halo of many rays of light. Sunflowers, representing joy, orbit around the Sun, adding to the optimistic atmosphere. The red flag has been transformed into his flowing clothes, symbolizing strength. Despite his kindness, Orion's eyes gleam with confidence and fulfillment.
card by @domanflower.
mika has always been very sun-coded in my mind! always a bright light that guides others. on the surface she emits positivity, joy and warmth.some of her internal struggles lend themselves well to the sun in reverse - difficulty finding positivity in a scenario, feeling like the warmth and light she exudes is being blocked out, etc.
❛ ⸻ JUDGEMENT.
UPRIGHT: self-evaluation, awakening, renewal, purpose, reflection, reckoning
REVERSED: self-doubt, lack of self-awareness, failure to learn lessons, self-loathing
card by @gothcartel2.
a card of one's deeds weighed, it beckons self-reflection. judgement is unavoidable, it is final.rook is a reaper and was reared as an arbiter of his people so that he may rise in the face of the garlean threat. the burning tower, the praying soldier, and judgement made divine.
card by @ATARTSHORIZON_.
"Tell us, why must we suffer?"Judgement is about Nerissa realizing and knowing that her real self is pure and good, and that while he may regret past mistakes, but she knows they were due to the ignorance of his true nature. What values to cherish and what to discard, she sees herself truly for what she always was.
card by @Blucifer08.
I sought advice form a friend for an arcana for my character and Judgement was one of two I was advised. My WoL's story revolves a lot around Elidibus, so Judgement seemed fitting from the get go. I've been advised it can have a tone of self loathing-- And my WoL becomes a sin eater due to her attachment to Elidibus--and this brings her to hate herself greatly. I wanted to emphasize that she can't go back from becoming a sin eater as well. Some other interpretations of Judgement i saw involve ascension to overcome an obstacle--and Naru overcomes her sin eater transformation, yanks back her mind and control, and uses her new, technically dead, body to succeed.
card by @ATARTSHORIZON_.

❛ ⸻ THE WORLD.
UPRIGHT: completion, achievement, fulfilment, sense of belonging, wholeness, harmony
REVERSED: lack of closure, lack of achievement, feeling incomplete, emptiness
card by @dermiecatte.
Dermot has to lift the world on their shoulders, more often than not. While they hate this burden near the start of their journey, the support of their loved ones and the experiences they've had has made this a lighter load to bear. Since The World represents a pause in the cycle, Dermot is able to take a breath in an appreciate where they have come from and everything they have done. It is both a representation of the change they have gone through and the change they have yet to experience. Both the Azem stone and the Bravura axe are items they hold close to their heart. Ardbert lives on within their soul, allowing them to share the load of their destiny with him. While swords and the weight of the world gather at their back, they are able to focus inward before striding forward into the future.

' Life gifted him a pearl, and life had gifted them immortality. One's purpose was to save the ones he treasured, but he was too human to do so. The other was gifted immortality, a compensation for their early demise. Tasked with overseeing the worlds, they never knew what existence should be like. ❛ ⸻ ACE OF WANDS.
UPRIGHT: inspiration, creative spark, new initiative, new passion, enthusiasm, energy
REVERSED: delays, blocks, lack of passion, lack of energy, hesitancy, creative blocks
card by @BeeFujimoto_xiv.
All That Is Created
Eventually Must Burn
card by @warmchocolata.
My creative intention for this card is the fire element and the magical intent behind it. I chose this card due to my character being a descendant of Azeyma; I want the burning flames of her fiery personality; her glowing orange hair; and piercing white eyes to reflect the fire that she puts out. My props would utilize flames, burning scenery; bathing in a sea of fire."Having been seared in flame and forged in embers; Fire is the lifeblood of eternity."
❛ ⸻ TWO OF WANDS.
UPRIGHT: planning, first steps, making decisions, leaving comfort, taking risks
REVERSED: bad planning, overanalyzing, not taking action, playing it safe, avoiding risk
card by @DREAMSPlNNER.
The two of wands represent the plans made for growth and change, and the courage to move forward. Titania’s staff being is a grounding force, one of the relics tying the fae king to their kingdom, but also serves as a reliable branch to lean and rely on in times of change. The butterfly means to symbolize that selfsame change and metamorphosis, safely in hand and under control.
@
❛ ⸻ THREE OF WANDS.
UPRIGHT: momentum, confidence, expansion, growth, foresight, looking ahead
REVERSED: restriction, limitations, lack of progress, obstacles, delays, frustration
card by @BLOBLASTER.
Honestly! Picked this card because is was one of the ones that no one made one for yet so,, might as well! So doesn’t have as much lore connection as my other card but my thought process was leaning into the journey of being the WOL. I used my first ever player character and WOL Minerva, and chose to pose her in Ultima Thule to lean into the themes of moving forward and growth that comes with the three of wands (upright) and the themes of frustration and delay (reverse) I feel also matches up well with the ups and downs she’s faced on her way to this “final step”as warrior of light.
@
❛ ⸻ FOUR OF WANDS.
UPRIGHT: community, home, celebrations, reunions, parties, gatherings, stability, belonging
REVERSED: lack of support, instability, feeling unwelcome, transience, lack of roots, home conflict
card by @cargal_kilnor.
"The overall meaning of the Four of Wands is that it heralds celebration as well as a harmonious, happy and relaxed home environment. The symbolism poses that this is the perfect time for you to get together with close people such as friends and family."Kasha's met and made many friends, and enjoys every single one's company. From sharing similar experiences with some, meeting others in conflict, she's always been able to find the joy in another. Her student, a fellow tribal Viera, and yokai she's researched - everyone's happy.

❛ ⸻ FIVE OF WANDS.
UPRIGHT: conflict, competition, arguments, aggression, tension, rivals, clashes of ego
REVERSED: end of conflict, cooperation, agreements, truces, harmony, peace, avoiding conflict
card by @WardenEater.
The Five of Wands depicts conflict whether friendly or serious. And so does the never ending battle of the steppe take place, as much sport and test of mettle as it is tug-of-war for territory and repute. Rage and wrestle to your hearts content, kith and kin, Sadu will burn brightest on this field of battle!
@
❛ ⸻ SIX OF WANDS.
UPRIGHT: success, victory, triumph, rewards, recognition, praise, acclaim, pride
REVERSED: failure, lack of recognition, no rewards, lack of achievement
card by @SanctusCaelus.
An adventurer's journey will inevitably lead to victory. Be it large or be it small, it is something to be celebrated and remembered. It was my goal to depict reflecting on all those victories, all those people who were touched by righteous deed.
card by @Ahlan_Tia.
I wanted to do more of a gothic horror adaptation of the six of wands. Five Elezen soldiers impaled on spikes and the spear representing the sixth wand. This one holds more weight towards victory and the ugly truth to it. Thus the reverse is the same. Recognition can be a hard fought battle and I wanted to show that sometimes that comes at a cost.
❛ ⸻ SEVEN OF WANDS.
UPRIGHT: protectiveness, standing up for yourself, defending yourself, protecting territory
REVERSED: giving up, admitting defeat, yielding, lack of self belief, surrender
card by @ATARTSHORIZON_.
"Burning brightly, hot and white."The seven wands represent aggression, defiance, and conviction. All of the things that Icarus was and so much more, she was a bright, fierce glare of the sun that would burn your skin, while her twin half represented the warmer, calmer touch of this light.
card by @SleepyHimboAuRa.
Nico is a soldier turned teacher. He's always had a strong desire to keep those close to him safe, and to help them overcome their hardships. The staff/wands here function more as a monk's quarterstaff.
❛ ⸻ EIGHT OF WANDS.
UPRIGHT: movement, speed, progress, quick decisions, sudden changes, excitement
REVERSED: waiting, slowness, chaos, delays, losing momentum, hastiness, being unprepared
card by @Gaylentines.
The main inspo for this was the idea of two sages together, equaling eight nouliths meaning eight wands. Sappho becomes a sage (or more accurately combines sage and red mage into Vermillion Sage) soon after the events of Stormblood, and while i didnt put her in her stormblood outfit, Loifa and sage is important to her. Its a quick change for her which suits the card- a sudden burst of change from her otherwise typical red mage abilities, as she realized she needed to get better at healing herself through her fights lest she meet another match for herself again.

❛ ⸻ NINE OF WANDS.
UPRIGHT: last stand, persistence, grit, resilience, perseverance, close to success, fatigue
REVERSED: stubbornness, rigidity, defensiveness, refusing compromise, giving up
card by @LostAgainGaming.
"Have you heard? They say if you camp near the ruins of Amdapor, Nym, or Mhach, you may perchance dream of a Viera man, with fading hair and lilac-gray eyes. He'll eat your dreams, they say. card by @dermiecatte.
When the Warrior of Light could no longer bear her burdens, their younger sibling took up the mantle of Warrior of Darkness. Called alongside his sister, Jesse Elakha became the public face of the Warrior of Darkness to spare Dermot the pressure of dealing with more hero worship while she takes the light into her body. While he becomes the people's sword and shield, he longs for the simplicity of his life as a scholar. The end of Shadowbringers is effectively where Jesse's journey reaches completion. As Endwalker starts, he is able to apply to become an archon and present himself as a fellow scholarly mind while Dermot continues on. Though the end of Shadowbringers was difficult mentally and physically, he is reunited with his loved ones having protected his sibling and the new world he cares for.
❛ ⸻ TEN OF WANDS.
UPRIGHT: burden, responsibility, duty, stress, obligation, burning out, struggles
REVERSED: failure to delegate, shouldering too much responsibility, collapse, breakdown
card by chad, @cargal_kilnor
The Ten of Wands represents the ending of the struggle, and the beginning of responsibility following it. "Although it sounds marvelous and satisfying, the card depicts a lot of responsibilities on your side. You are now the sole problem solver in your circle of family and friends which could even propel you into another world of challenges. At this point, you are also flooded with responsibilities to maintain your success."Kasha has reached the final stretch of her journey, befriending all sorts of mythical creatures, learning about them. Now, she just needs to maintain the relationships so others may learn as well. (also, instead of wands, I placed a ton of books in the picture to represent the burden she carries!)

The Knight of Wands; taking the next step, setting forth towards goals, a thirst for new adventure and experience. Cyma has remade themself time and time again with the sole objective of outliving their sacrifice.Successful, it is time for them to experience life without the burdens of foil and fate; to become an adventurer true in search of understanding of the world they have carried so long.

to embody the image of a hero, that idea of becoming a knight in shining armour is what astrelle strives for.
card by @imbertain.
Wands are the suit of fire, and fire is the greatest symbol of passion.Soleil, the Crimson Hawk, doesn't do things in half measures. Right or wrong, once she has an impulse, she chases it with reckless abandon. Of course, this makes it difficult to reel her in when she's lost her way, but that same determination is what draws people towards her the most.

❛ ⸻ QUEEN OF WANDS.
UPRIGHT: confident, self-assured, passionate, determined, social, charismatic, vivacious, optimistic
REVERSED: demanding, vengeful, low confidence, jealous, selfish, temperamental, bully
card by @lilibetxiv.
The Mother of Wands takes charge and leads with passion. She is optimistic, self-aware, and determined. She is a fierce protector and always stays true to her morals.
When shown in a reading, this card suggests that you might consider making careful and calculated strides; you are full of potential and courage, use it! Your intuition is your best tool.
In its reversal, the Queen of Wands can suggest that you might be moving passively, and that’s okay. It may be time to draw yourself back in; build your strength and confidence before taking on something big.
card by @xivundertheveil.
Honestly, this card represents strength and courage, taking charge and being confident. I feel my character represents this in herself, as well as the confidence in the pose. She reaches to the heavens with her conduit of power, to to beseech the gods but to show them her strength.
❛ ⸻ KING OF WANDS.
UPRIGHT: leadership, vision, big picture, taking control, daring decisions, boldness, optimism
REVERSED: forceful, domineering, tyrant, vicious, powerless, ineffective, weak leader
card by @snowboundstark.
I felt like King of Wands suited Raubahn surprisingly well. A natural leader, and honorable to a fault, I felt like it's upright meanings (as well as it's association with the element of fire) suited him well. Not to mention some of it's reverse meanings also work for him; regarding high expectations of himself in particular.
card by @cauldronsoph.
[forward, ever forward, o light of progress.]Pure energy, a passion for life -- much like the King of Wands, Granville embodies both. He's a motivator and a leader set on taking control of his future. He charges toward his goals like a brilliant comet; however, like the reversed card, sometimes he can get too impulsive, striving towards progress even at the expense of himself or others.
❛ ⸻ ACE OF CUPS.

❛ ⸻ FOUR OF CUPS.
UPRIGHT: apathy, contemplation, feeling disconnected, melancholy, boredom, indifference, discontent
REVERSED: clarity, awareness, acceptance, choosing happiness, depression, negativity
card by @LostAgainGaming.
A mage, quietly meditating in a plant-filled mausoleum. Three dark red wine glasses- they compare themself to their brother. One white- to show their need to reflect on how they view themself and others. All four ignored in favor of deep thought.
This mage prefers to be left alone. Between his clashing lifestyles and his inability to speak to others, he has withdrawn from public life. Seemingly apathetic to the world around him, he chooses not to partake in what's being offered. But someday, he will come out of his shell, and explore what life has to offer outside of his plant-filled mausoleum.
card by @djt_gilda.
"Being so deep in contemplation and thought, you may sometimes ignore the gifts that the world gives you. The potential joys that are laid at your feet are ignored. Even though your intentions may be noble, you run the risk of treating the world with apathy." - description from Golden Thread Tarot.
❛ ⸻ FIVE OF CUPS
UPRIGHT: loss, grief, disappointment, sadness, mourning, discontent, feeling let down
REVERSED: acceptance, moving on, finding peace, contentment, seeing positives
card by jay, @dermiecatte.
Cjvre's past has been undone by her own hand, unraveling her memories and everything she knew. As much as she wishes to know who she was before and change what she did, there is no way to turn back the clock. The Five of Cups spell both self-reflection of failure and the acceptance of the past; something that she has to do in order to understand herself as she is now.
card by @Ahearnyth.
"Ignorant of what remains her." Brunhilda has lost a lot in her life, she is Ala Mhigan and the photo is taken in Porta Praetoria-- in front of the lake and the broken bridge, as is relevant to the card itself. Where this usually represents that there is a way forward in the traditional card, Hilly sees it the same way as she sees the spilled cups. Simply seeing the destruction for what she has lost, the people who are gone now- rather than a new opportunity or something to build, like the two upright cups represent.
She has struggled to move on from her childhood there, the things she saw and the deaths of her parents. Though she did fight in the resistence-- and made friends there, the fact she fought for their freedom is often lost on her in favour of the memories she cant move on from. Hilly also oscillates between understanding and self hatred for the things she did to survive once she'd escaped Ala Mhigo, and ruminates on whether her parents are proud of her.
card by @blackcatxiv.
"You are trapped in the past, so focused on your failures that you are blind to your successes. You risk losing the potential for happiness in your future."The card can be split into two halves, the left representing the past and the right representing the future. Rosie looks to the past, clinging onto a ghost of her sister and is blinded by the light. The three fallen cups represent each of her dead family members, her "failures". Her partner stands to the right, holding two upright cups - one for himself and another he offers to her. The cups represent success, the potential for happiness, but she is unable to see it as he is cast in shadow and she is too focused on the past.
card by @BLOBLASTER.
After looking over all the cards and narrowing it down to a few I decided on the Five of Cups for my warrior of light, Cosette. Both the upright and reversed reflected important parts of her story and growth as a character. She struggles with the loss of her first/dearest friend and how his death has reflected on her later relationships and losses (Upright: loss, grief, self-pity) Her inability to overcome her grief has cost her in many ways, and only recently has she been able to accept it and begin to move on (Reversed: acceptance, moving on, finding peace).
I specifically highlighted Haurchefant’s broken shield and for her “cups” I used 5 wine bottles as that’s her drink of choice. The shape under the roman numeral five is directly referenced from the pattern under the unicorn of the Fortemps house crest and in the border the shape of the shield was used as an accent.

'Regret' was the biggest keyword that stuck out when considering Laureaux (the duskwight here) for the card. He has massive regrets in life from not saying what he needed to before it was too late to. While he lives with regrets, he does have those he can look to for support and many friends and opportunities ahead of him. (I promise he's happy guys he's got a mycologist boyfriend and they have picnics together)

[ Memories of Eld ]Hello! This is my character Therith Lavellan and I based her tarot card design /very/ heavily around the Dragon Age: Inquisition tarot card style as she was my DAI Inquisitor before I moved her lore over to XIV. I chose the upright Six of Cups to represent her memories as Azem!
card by @menphinatouched.
This was made by a friend of mine, Dreamless."All is well once more, as it should be. The very heavens sing with joy."6 of cups is a card that gained immense personal importance to me. I wanted to highlight the themes of forgiveness and reconciliation with things in your past, as that's what it came to signify to me.
card by @magne_ffxiv.
The Six of Cups is the embodiment of nostalgia and familiarity. Memories abound when pulling this card. In terms of Magne, the symbolism in this card leans heavily towards the support of happiness and childhood. As a child, the Calamity took his childhood away from him, so now, as a father, his dedication to filling his foster children's lives with wonder is his new mission in life. The sunflowers stand for Magne's childhood home and the connection his community had with nature. As he shares the wonder of nature with his children, it's also a form of reconnecting and returning to the lifestyle he once had.
❛ ⸻ SEVEN OF CUPS.
UPRIGHT: choices, searching for purpose, illusion, fantasy, daydreaming, wishful thinking, indecision
REVERSED: lack of purpose, disarray, confusion, diversion, distractions, clarity, making choices
card by dimitri, @seaswallowsall.
Seven of Cups upright can be interpreted as the illusion of having many choices, a matter of deception, and temptation to indulgence or fantasy. The composition of the photo suggests a lean into temptation, with the array of 7 glasses to choose from, and an alluring look from the proprietor. Caspian is known to overindulge in life’s simple pleasure of drink, and although it might be a bit of a straight interpretation, temptation through the deception of choice is what he is now offering, for they all contain the sin of alcohol.
card by chad, @cargal_kilnor.
The Seven of Cups represents the world of choices one may have. "Imagination, choice, wishful thinking, illusion and fantasy." When upright, the card spurs you on to start acting on a choice, or start researching the best one to make. When reversed, it's still quite similar - you have many choices, but they may be flights of fancy. Choose a more realistic option.Holuikhan here has plunged into a strange, new world, filled with thousands of things she's never known about. There's so many places to explore, people to see, things to do - she's become a little uncertain.
❛ ⸻ EIGHT OF CUPS.
UPRIGHT: abandonment, walking away, letting go, searching for truth, leaving behind
REVERSED: stagnation, monotony, accepting less, avoidance, fear of change, staying in bad situation
card by shiki, @innocent_lizard.
Obo is addled with the turmoil of indecisiveness, stagnation, and regret. Things weren't as they seemed; it's time to carry on. Maybe, just maybe, this will be the last time they need to turn away...
card by bird, @misuzu_isms.
this card is about uncertainty and venturing into the unknown, about moving forward even when you're unsure of yourself which i guess applies both to endwalker and my own confidence in my art!the traditional eight of cups features a figure facing away from the viewer and looking up at the moon, but bc it's ffxiv, i went with standing on the moon and looking up at etheirys. the cups are stacked as such to imply something missing. in cael's case, she started out on her journey to search for the part of herself that was missing, so it seemed fitting (:
❛ ⸻ NINE OF CUPS.
UPRIGHT: wishes coming true, contentment, satisfaction, success, achievements, recognition, pleasure
REVERSED: unhappiness, lack of fulfilment, disappointment, underachievement, arrogance, snobbery
card by @cuddle_catto.
"Thorns hurt, and yet we consider roses to be beautiful. It is the same with life. Once the bad times pass, you will be greeted with happiness. Such is the beauty of life."
card by @KeeperKihtsae.
Nature is a huge part of my boy, so to depict him at peace and content, enjoying the tranquil beauty around him, seemed a fitting way to present the idea of the Nine of Cups. He cradles a bouquet of nine [spoiler] flowers, glowing yellow, which were also chosen due to their similarity in appearance to buttercups.
❛ ⸻ TEN OF CUPS.
UPRIGHT: happiness, homecomings, fulfillment, emotional stability, security, domestic harmony
REVERSED: unhappy home, separation, domestic conflict, disharmony, isolation
card by @cargal_kilnor.
"Ten of Cups represents an idyllic state of comfort, harmony, peace and love which makes you feel like you are in paradise. This is where all your dreams, wants, needs and wishes have been fulfilled, and you feel a complete sense of satisfaction. Take a moment and breathe, look around you and be thankful for all your blessings."Chad's experienced the most love she's ever had with M'lyyhia. There's no competition, this woman is her world. Nothing else could compare to the time she spends with her, cooking, sparring, helping one another. Even the teasing, she's come to appreciate. "Happily ever after..."
card by @wrenanigans.
The ten of cups is typically regarded as a good omen, especially when it comes to relationships. It represents forgiveness, love, comfort, and joy. Upright, this happiness is owed to external fortunes. Inverted, it indicates a strong sense of contentment with one's life. While the road ahead may not be paved with gold, it is one that Apollo and Valoren will walk with love, hand in hand, steps in sync. Regardless of whatever hardships may lie ahead, they shall face them together, and with smiles on their faces.
❛ ⸻ PAGE OF CUPS.
UPRIGHT: idealism, sensitivity, dreamer, naivete, innocence, inner child, head in the clouds
REVERSED: emotional vulnerability, immaturity, neglecting inner child, escapism, insecurity
card by @ThomainsL.
The reversed Page of Cups Tarot card can indicate descent into emotional instability taking the form of obsession, envy or vindictiveness. The Page of Cups reversed can also represent shattered innocence, emotional wounds and broken dreams. The design of my card reflects my OC Thomains’ struggle to let go of his past life. His life in Golmore was where he was most content, and after wartime displacement and exile he becomes bitter and listless— always reaching back for who he was and unable to find peace with himself.
card by @eliguydesan.
Guydelot embodies the Page of Cups so completely that he even fits the reversed meanings, as well; he has all of the creativity and intuition as a bard, while also being overly critical and emotionally immature. The card best represents him at the beginning of his character arc in the bard quests, fully fulfilling his moniker of "The Spent"--- later on, as he grows and realizes that he's grown to care about Sanson, the WoL, and the bard unit, he also evolves and shows more of the intuition also associated with this card.
❛ ⸻ KNIGHT OF CUPS.
UPRIGHT: idealist, charming, artistic, graceful, tactful, diplomatic, mediator, negotiator
REVERSED: disappointment, tantrums, moodiness, turmoil, avoiding conflict, vanity
card by @BunnyBoyTrance.
The figure of the romantic diplomat and adventurer is pretty much Natan's entire background, thus the Knight of Cups with it's symbolism of chivalry, romance, idealism and diplomacy is a perfect fit for him. Whilst not physically capable as a knight, Natan is also charming and graceful in all of his professional and social endeavours, fulfilling the other elements of the Knight of Cups.
@
❛ ⸻ QUEEN OF CUPS.
UPRIGHT: compassion, warmth, kindness, intuition, healer, counsellor, supportive
REVERSED: insecurity, giving too much, overly-sensitive, needy, fragile, dependence, martyrdom
card by @afflatus_archon.
Holding the role as the Afflatus Archon, Morrigan prides herself in protecting others and easing their pains. With an overflowing cup in hand at the shores of her homeland Sharlayan, she freely pours out her selfless devotion to those who seek her healing hands, counsel and nurturing affection of companionship.
card by @DRAVANlA.
Dragons are naturally emotional beings, and Khei Ehsk is no exception, often dubbed the "Incarnation of Love."Honest and compassionate, they always offer that needed hand to hold through the dark, or that shoulder to cry on to share the tears. Rumors say that their heart is what turned the tides of the Dragonsong War.
card by @afflatusmisery.
She has searched the depths of her heart and found that her cup overflows for you evermore.
@
❛ ⸻ KING OF CUPS.
UPRIGHT: wise, diplomatic, balance between head and heart, devoted, advisor, counsellor
REVERSED: overwhelmed, anxious, cold, repressed, withdrawn, manipulative, selfish
card by bullet, @BulletFFXIV.
I felt the King of Cups, of the cards I drew for this, suited Black Water quite naturally. The King of Cups is a man who stays calm and balanced, even in chaotic conditions.Turbulent waters might surround his granite throne, but even passing ships sail by without issue in the wake of his serenity. Emotionally balanced, compassionate, diplomatic; the things this card symbolizes read just how I would describe Black Water himself.

❛ ⸻ ACE OF SWORDS.
UPRIGHT: clarity, breakthrough, new idea, concentration, vision, force, focus, truth
REVERSED: confusion, miscommunication, hostility, arguments, destruction, brutality
card by @cargal_kilnor.
The Ace of Swords fits Chad best at the moment, teetering on the edge of adventure. The Ace of Swords represents a moment of breakthrough. "That moment in which one can see the world from a new point of view, as a place that is filled with nothing but new possibilities." And, the reversal - "It would be better to prepare yourself and take baby steps - work methodically as you slowly move towards achieving your goals."Chad's been through hell recently - an incredible losing streak, learning she's been cursed, working her ass off to overcome it - but finally, there's been some reprieve. The curse is gradually being dispelled, and she's excited, wanting to finally see what she could do without it. Inspired by her companions, she's been looking into adventuring with them, which might finally happen soon! She just needs to take it slow, make sure she's prepared for it.

Leda Blysswyn is a scholar at heart. She delves into the lore and history of Etheirys to find information of interest and potential benefit. This causes her to frequently reframe plans and ideas or come up with a new plan entirely. However, each discovery has a habit of skewing Leda's judgement and may set her down a darker path than intended. The Ace of Swords traditionally has a sword held upright with a crown overhead, laurel leaves and palm fronds flowing over the crown. They represent mercy and severity, both things Leda lacks because her methods and beliefs leave her out-of-touch. The crown still hovers out of Leda's belief of having control or authority over a situation. The mountains still loom in the background to signal challenges on the horizon.
card by @yunalesca.
" you've been met with a terrible fate, haven't you? "Vera is the embodiment of self destruction & calamity with her main driver being vengeance and avenging the sisters she lost many years ago. On the reversed end, Vera's life is a coalescence of all three meanings: confusion, brutality, and chaos, all three of which she has embodied since leaving home on a warpath. Despite this, on the upright, with the card symbolizing breakthroughs, clarity, and a sharp mind, it ties in well with Vera realizing that she's more than what vengeance has made her to be throughout the years, and that there's more for her to discover throughout her life. However, she consistently finds it more and more challenging to let go of the parts of her life prominent in the reversed end of her card. As shown in the image, she's making an effort to pull herself out of the deep dark, but in turn, will put herself through more pain & strife before she gets there.

❛ ⸻ TWO OF SWORDS.
UPRIGHT:stalemate, difficult choices, stuck in the middle, denial, hidden information
REVERSED: indecision, hesitancy, anxiety, too much information, no right choice, truth revealed
card by @frogtax.
The two of swords often represents difficult choices and denial. The Bozjan weaponry and attire is indicative of the character's history with combating the IVth imperial legion on the Bozjan Southern Front, while simultaneously dealing with unresolved issues that demands a choice of him - the choice being how to regard the looming, oppressive light of the Lightwarden dross behind and within him. To the character, he must either smother this facet of himself, or admit that he's become a monster, two extreme decisions that blind and rob him of a more measured ability for decision making."Here you lie in the tremendous web. Others are about you, but they are whole—whole hearts and bodies. But all of you that lives is back there walking the desolate seas in evening winds. This thing here, this cold clay thing, is already dead." — The Illustrated Man
card by @halciian.
"Equal and opposing forces are joined in battle, and there seems to be no end in sight. This wasn't what you had in mind when you chanced to walk down this path, and you find yourself caught in the middle. But unless we move past this stalemate, there can be no progress."
card by @ntriangledev.
The fan-favourite Dark Knight job quests line up neatly with key themes of the Two of Swords, namely, the pull of opposing forces, the need to seek balance, and the involvement of the unconscious. I wanted to put a twist on the standard depiction of the card (a blindfolded woman holding two crossed swords) by including both my WoL and her Living Shadow. The WoL being blindfolded and the shadow not, along with the shadow extending her hand out, is intended to symbolize having to work together with her darkside to seek the way forward, although in hindsight it seems a little too sinister. Oops 😬.

❛ ⸻ THREE OF SWORDS.
UPRIGHT: heartbreak, separation, sadness, grief, sorrow, upset, loss, trauma, tears
REVERSED: healing, forgiveness, recovery, reconciliation, repressing emotions
card by @highqualityeggs.
The three of swords is a card representing sorrow, grief, and regret. Myr is presented, impaled through the center thrice by the very sword he first drew another's blood with. Thrice, through the back, like the weight of one's actions -- unseen until unavoidable. Overlooked by the Bird of Paradise, Halone's gatekeeper and a religious symbol, cold and indifferent despite an overarching presence."Thus shall the err of one's ways strike swiftly -- like the talons of a hawk -- claws raked thrice. First for that you could never have avoided. Second for that which was blinded by rage. Third with the knowledge none can ever be undone."
card by @allaganandroid.
Mnemosyne is the last remaining Ascian, having survived after serving as the heart of the sundered Zodiark while the primal was imprisoned within the moon. Her soul was sundered with the primal, but what remained managed to slip free when Fandaniel embodied Zodiark during Endwalker. She lives on in memory and grief, finding a stinging solace in the survival of what remains of Etherys.
I chose three of swords due to the symbolism of separation, sorrow, and loss. While I do not consider my card reversed, I reversed the position of the swords themselves. They are not piercing, but cradling, supporting, for she carries on in reverence of the loss of her friends and home.
card by @xivundertheveil.
heart break, loneliness, depression and grief are all relevant feelings and i feel they tie closely to me and my character. I tried to keep it classic.
card by @FLich_Studio.
The illustration represents and relates to the hidden and rejected emotions inside by Khachi, like: pain, sorrow, grief. Which are felt like a sword that has pierced the heart and is still stuck inside them for years. No matter how far they go it still remains inside them. The one thing that can free them is to "draw the sword", that is, the emotions that only then allow them to move on and forgive themselves.
card by @sweetassonance.
I chose this card mainly for the themes of grief, sorrow, loss & also, in reversed, recovering from grief, accepting it & learning to let go & move forward with it instead of fighting against it. Sierra's story & character have their roots deep in those themes.
The specific expression on her face conveys both sadness & acceptance, sorrow & softness. Also her hands' position, as if she's nesting the wounds, pain and hurt, cherishing them almost, as well as accepting them. The roses are here for love (in all of its forms) & strong devotion.
card by @ItMeAlthea.
card by @TheFaeRen.
card by @seaswallowsall.
Three of swords upright represents anguish, loss, and sorrow. Three swords pierce the heart to bleed it. The use of embodied sins as the ones inflicting this pain while the statuettes weep on represents what I imagine is a self-inflicted sorrow, of unavoidable malaise in relation to matters of the heart and one’s own sins.
card by @HellsEgress.
I had a couple of options for Aiyla but eventually settled on three of hearts. Shes meant to be holding one of the three swords stabbing into the heart shes also holding to signify that she had a part in her own misery and heartache and sorrow. Shes a victim of things outside of her control, but she also perpetuates it, and it takes her a long time to unlearn these habits and notions to feed into her self destruction.

❛ ⸻ FOUR OF SWORDS.
UPRIGHT: rest, relaxation, peace, sanctuary, recuperation, self-protection, rejuvenation
REVERSED: recovery, awakening, re-entering world, release from isolation, restlessness, burnout
card by @chachaonice & @emrysdraws.
"These three swords are a reminder of the suffering that he has endured in the earlier card. The position of the fourth sword seems to be a signal that the fight has ended." This card is representative of my Azem, Apollon, who tore his soul apart protecting Amaurot during the Final Days. The sundering obliterated everything he was, but he found peace at last in the aethereal sea - a sweet oblivion until his reincarnation as the Warrior of Light thousands of years later.
@
❛ ⸻ FIVE OF SWORDS.
UPRIGHT: arguments, disputes, aggression, bullying, intimidation, conflict, hostility, stress
REVERSED: reconciliation, resolution, compromise, revenge, regret, remorse, cutting losses
card by @skyysingerxiv.
The 5 of Swords has -haunted- Sahji'to for a long time, in his story. Let's just say he has a few regrets. As a White Mage, he is not as pure as he looks on the outside. By impulsively hurting others around him, he has also hurt himself, in the long run.
card by @lqvnh_.
I picked this card because one of the themes were "victory at all costs" and "bitter conflict" and it kind of fits with Osaragi's feelings throughout the liberation of Doma and Bozja from Garlemald. Osaragi's story began in Bozja when she became a prisoner of war and were experimented on to become a prototype hypertuned, and in the card is between the events of Shadowbringers and Endwalker where she came back to Bozja and end this chapter of her story. She despises war and the fact that lives were ended on the battlefield, yet she tried to cast aside those feeling and fight for swift victory, for she can bring about the freedom of Bozja and its legacy can live on. The five "swords" are the relic weapons of Bozja that were forged from memories of the dead, and the act of her picking them up and swearing victory at all costs is her carrying the will of those who lost their lives, Garleans and Bozjans both.
❛ ⸻ SIX OF SWORDS.
UPRIGHT: moving on, departure, leaving behind, distance, accepting lessons
REVERSED: stuck in past, returning to trouble, running away from problems, trapped
card by dani, @greatswards.
the six of swords is a card about moving forward. mak sits on a boat with her head cast down her while daughter, nita, sits beside her. surrounded by six swords, visual representations of the weight of mak's grief.despite the fact that the two are now moving past their loss to a horizon lit by a brilliant sun, mak carries the weight with her. she always will.
@
❛ ⸻ SEVEN OF SWORDS.
UPRIGHT: lies, trickery, scheming, strategy, resourcefulness, sneakiness, cunning
REVERSED: confession, conscience, regret, maliciousness, truth revealed
card by luca, @thuvsatzwyn.
Picking this card was simple: Resis is, quite plainly, a massive liar. He’s less man and more miserable pile of secrets—a 1.0 WoL who was never remembered (and never told anyone about it), an exile for good reason, and in a relationship built on lies of omission. I wanted to focus on the Calamity, since it’s the most recent upheaval in his life that he’s keeping secrets about.Rather than being playfully sly, I wanted to try to portray his shame and constant fear of getting found out. He’s doing some things he’s disgusted with himself for, but he thinks he’s in too deep to stop now, and that guilt looms over him. It’s self-destructive, no matter how much he tries to guard himself. He'll bleed through his armor anyway.

❛ ⸻ EIGHT OF SWORDS.
UPRIGHT: trapped, restricted, victimised, paralysed, helpless, powerless, imprisonment
REVERSED: freedom, release, taking control, survivor, facing fears, empowered, surrender
card by @leyFFXIV.
"Would you surrender control of yourself to escape a cage?"
card by @cinnii_s.
The character is one of duty and penance, his grief for the ones lost--represented by the lilies within the waters like the flow of the life stream--and expiation the driving motivators to his life. Instead of blindfolded like the card that keeps the maiden from seeing a way out, half of it is shrouded by the deaths that still eat him from inside out whilst the other reveals he knows the way out. Still, he places his neck between the blades. The hand gripping the blade is a call to the reversed meaning of the card, conscious in making his decisions with a confidence. A mirror to the Chariot card done prior in its control--the water a reflection of the Chariot's river!
There are extra nods as well like the halberd in the waters (his brother's) & the heretics' sword models!
❛ ⸻ NINE OF SWORDS.
UPRIGHT: fear, anxiety, negativity, breaking point, despair, nightmares, isolation
REVERSED: recovery, learning to cope, facing life, finding help, shame, guilt, mental health issues
card by @TequiliDawn.
When looking at some of the cards that hadn't been done, the design and meaning of the 9 of swords stuck out. A half body image of a person with 9 swords directly above them as their eyes were closed was striking and immediately inspired me. The card generally describes fear/anxiety/trauma, things of which my character has A LOT of due to his background. He has lots of regrets and as an assassin has spilled lots of blood, and I think the imagery of blood red swords contrasted with the image of only half of his body showing in the water portrays it well, and I had a lot of fun posing it!
card by @FictionalKerys.
Hide behind his sword all he likes, everyone knows the truth of Llywelyn - there's something deeply wrong with him.
card by @Wizard_Drugs.
A storied history of trauma and domestic violence follows this poor noble girl. The Nine of Swords is a card which carries the sheer weight of what we've collected, by folly or by force, just before the tenth strikes its final blow.Love becomes a different language after so long spent under the heel of one's mother. Harm, pain, blood; the pose is taken on her lover's bed, with whom she shared blood with in a strange and lonely pact. This is their union: her pain wound like a puppet's string.
card by @blackcatxiv.
"Your heart weighs heavy, your mind filled with worry for things that do not exist. You have trapped yourself in an endless cycle of darkness."Eight swords hang heavy over her heart while one has pierced through, by her own hand. The swords represent her worries and anxieties. By having her pierce her own heart, it symbolises how she is partly responsible for her own pain. She needs to learn how to let go, to understand that there are things out of her control and that it's not always her fault.
❛ ⸻ TEN OF SWORDS.
UPRIGHT: ruin, failure, bitterness, collapse, exhaustion, dead end, victimization, betrayal
REVERSED: survival, improvement, healing, lessons learned, despair, relapse
card by @EWNF5.
Mainly related to the nature of the card itself; the following.'The Ten of Swords indicate a major disaster of some sort. It shows that a certain force of extreme magnitude has come to hit you in your life - one that you may have not foreseen. There is a sense of betrayal that is indicated here, for the character is stabbed in the back.'Character is Garlean so I thought it fit.

❛ ⸻ PAGE OF SWORDS.
UPRIGHT: curious, witty, chatty, communicative, inspired, vigilant, alert, mental agility
REVERSED: scatterbrained, cynical, sarcastic, gossipy, insulting, rude, lack of planning
card by moss, @wardeneater.
The page sets out with renewed determination, sword held high and gazing all around; Observant and driven towards a goal, footing sure on the determined path. Zero has chosen her path, and dedicated a heart newly kindled to fulfill it.

❛ ⸻ KNIGHT OF SWORDS.
UPRIGHT: assertive, direct, impatient, intellectual, daring, focused, perfectionist, ambitious
REVERSED: rude, tactless, forceful, bully, aggressive, vicious, ruthless, arrogant
card by @THEXTERAS.
"In faith everlasting and ice eternal, we find our resolve and grasp truth through blade and shield."
card by @aklnik.
An upright Knight of Swords represents drive, passion, ambition.
Ivort is driven by his vows and his knighthood, he has one goal in mind and has been chasing this goal ever since he rose from the dead. Chasing this goal, this purpose makes him blind to the bigger picture, unable to slow down and consider the consequences.
card by @mrIightningbolt.
"Once the knight sets forth towards his goals, there is absolutely no stopping him."

❛ ⸻ QUEEN OF SWORDS.
UPRIGHT: honest, independent, principled, fair, constructive criticism, objective, perceptive
REVERSED: pessimistic, malicious, manipulative, harsh, bitter, spiteful, cruel, deceitful, unforgiving
card by @LunarRaen.
"know that you see what must be done
know you will enact this, whatever it takes
know the price you have already paid"The sword in the queens hand usually points skyward but I depict it downward angled to represent Kou's more grounded rational, less high and mighty in their judgement, more frank. Spattered with blood from where they've symbolically excised their heart for the sake of making a judgement call, so too is their hand extended in the classical way the queen of swords holds hers out, though all theirs seems to offer is the blood spilling from it. This, they've seemingly only just realised.
@
❛ ⸻ KING OF SWORDS.
UPRIGHT:reason, authority, discipline, integrity, morality, serious, high standards, strict
REVERSED: irrational, dictator, oppressive, inhumane, controlling, cold, ruthless, dishonest
card by @SneefXIV.
The pure struggle of a man who's suddenly come in a power he wasn't used to. Having to hold that sword, which has the potential of destructive powers, but also confidence. It's a card which very much represents my character's current situation. An internal war, to do what is right, but still remain true.He is stubborn in his commitment to remaining impartial, logical, and ethical by always doing what is honest and honorable, and he will guide you to do the same but mostly through his own vision and experience.
card by @mochigobrrrrrrr.
In all honesty, I drew the Kight of Swords from my own deck, and it made sense for my current lore for my OC.As for making the gpose, I kept to what I know and am familiar with, and the props used have been my favorites these past couple months.
card by @thecrocofkugane.
Adon is a vessel for his cruel and tumultuous voidsent. The man himself is disciplined, just and believes in justice.Aeshma, on the other hand, is manipulative, cruel, and bears little love. I wanted this to be a card that allowed for both upright and reverse options, portraying the two in a constant conflict between each other.

❛ ⸻ ACE OF PENTACLES.
UPRIGHT: new opportunities, resources, abundance, prosperity, security, stability, manifestation
REVERSED: missed chances, scarcity, deficiency, instability, stinginess, bad investments
card by @cargal_kilnor.
"The aces in the tarot are all indicative of new beginnings. It means that you are at a point in your life where a new cycle is beginning - you are about to start afresh. Because the suit of pentacles is primarily concerned with all things material (not just financial, but also with the sensual), this reset could manifest itself as the undertaking of a new venture. Wherever this beginning takes place, the Ace of Pentacles assures that what is to come will bring great abundance and opportunity."Holuikhan, emerging from the depths of the Ruby Sea, has always enjoyed shiny things. With the lack of light in the deep sea, she finds joy in reflective items, coins and metal pieces fallen from ships. Coming out of the water, she finds so much more to look forward to, rising into a sea of stars.
@
❛ ⸻ TWO OF PENTACLES.
UPRIGHT: balancing resources, adaptation, resourcefulness, flexibility, stretching resources
REVERSED: imbalance, unorganized, overwhelmed, messiness, chaos, overextending
card by @Gaylentines.
My main thought process was with the fact that two of pentacles could in some ways also mean the two sides of the same coin with decision making and coin flips. Thats the inspiration for the pose with her coin about to be flipped, but i also threw one over her eye has a bit of a reference to the 'coins over the eyes of the dead' mainly because i thought it ruled. This one is less connected to my WoL herself, but that was somewhat intentional as i thought it would be neat to try and use colors and motifs i wouldn't usually use for her.
card by @snowboundstark.
While I couldn't quite match the original card visuals, I felt like Guildmaster Beatin was a good match for this card. A man with a strong passion for his guild and craft, he also finds time to prioritize and put effort into his relationship with Gairhard, and even finds himself distraught when the two argue. He finds himself torn between his professional and personal priorities, and often commits himself too much to one or the other. And yet, he's an adaptable man, and ends up finding a way.
❛ ⸻ THREE OF PENTACLES.
UPRIGHT: teamwork, shared goals, collaboration, apprenticeship, effort, pooling energy
REVERSED: lack of cohesion, lack of teamwork, apathy, poor motivation, conflict, ego, competition
card by @thezlain.
Emmerololth(Zlayer's ancient), Fandaniel(Hermes), and Altima take a walk through Elpis. Their three respective constellation crystals hover above them in the composition, serving as the three pentacles. Hermes, although the newest admit to the convocation, has the attention of his company as he speaks of creation magicks, musing about the apple in his hand. With ample collaboration, apprentices and aces alike can accomplish great things, conjure any creative vision. The tragedy of Hermes is knit into the reversed meaning. Hermes takes the seat of Fandaniel, overseer of life, but struggles to see meaning in life— fundamentally misaligned. He has a close, capable group to rely on, but eventually isolates himself.

❛ ⸻ FOUR OF PENTACLES.
UPRIGHT: possessiveness, insecurity, hoarding, stinginess, stability, security, savings, materialism, wealth, frugality, boundaries, guardedness
REVERSED: generosity, giving, spending, openness, financial insecurity, reckless spending
card by @grymnoire.
Four hands our fortunes mend, that want we may not knowThe original Four of Pentacles card features a king amidst a city backdrop holding onto a large coin. I wanted to recreate that using the final area in Aglaia where you fight Nald'thal, both as a visual parallel and as a nod to the lore of the Traders being seen as twin gods of mercantile affairs and death. Arcade (the character being featured) is dressed lavishly in finery befitting a ruler, as he sits on a throne of avarice holding a wine goblet. Behind him are two lions, signifying protection from any would-be thieves of his wealth. As Nald'thal is his patron, I wanted to utilize elements showing off a love for money and a warm desert theme.

❛ ⸻ FIVE OF PENTACLES.
UPRIGHT: hardship, loss, isolation, feeling abandoned, adversity, struggle, unemployment, alienation, disgrace
REVERSED: positive changes, recovery from loss, overcoming adversity, forgiveness, feeling welcomed
card by @BridgertonElf.
“Things are better now,” they say in the Crozier. But for who? Not for the lowly bottom of the rung in the Brume. The Firmament was rebuilt, but for who? Adventurers take up the bulk and many in the Brume still suffer, and still freeze, and still go hungry. “Things are better now,” they say, walking through the garden district of the pillars where fire crystals in the soil help flowers grow. But for who? People of the Brume still huddle around fires with threadbare blankets and and untreated cough. The Five of Pentacles is associated with poverty and hopelessness. This reflects the feelings of many in the Brume: that things may be getting better, but for who?

REVERSED: power dynamics, abuse of generosity, strings attached gifts, inequality, extortion
❛ ⸻ SEVEN OF PENTACLES.
UPRIGHT: harvest, rewards, results, growth, progress, perseverance, patience, planning
REVERSED: unfinished work, procrastination, low effort, waste, lack of growth, setbacks, impatience, lack of reward
card by @corpsedancers.
for the character pictured (or her hands, at least) seven of pentacles points towards her struggles to be a better person, the setbacks in that process, and the frustrations & impulses that often lead to them.the pose and composition are heavily referenced from the seven of rings card from Amrit Brar's marigold tarot deck.

❛ ⸻ EIGHT OF PENTACLES.
UPRIGHT: skill, talent, craftsmanship, quality, high standards, expertise, mastery, commitment, dedication, accomplishment
REVERSED: lack of quality, rushed job, bad reputation, lack of motivation, mediocrity, laziness, low skill, dead-end job
❛ ⸻ NINE OF PENTACLES.
UPRIGHT: rewarded efforts, success, achievement, independence, leisure, material security, self-sufficiency
REVERSED: being guarded, living beyond means, material instability, reckless spending, superficiality
card by @Ahearnyth.
Golnar is a middle aged viera, nearing two hundred. She has seen many events across Hydaellyn, let alone just Eorzea. Having lived in Dalmasca, Thavnair and now Sharlayan- she has seen much and many awful events. She always wanted to live an easy, relaxed life- allowing the chaos of the world to occur while she stays the same. Now working as a gleaner, she is rich in the way she always wanted.Relative freedom, the ability to travel, her own money and the comfort of her own home to retreat into. Golnar has done all of this herself, and worked very hard to be able to float through life as carefree and gentle as she does so. Her only issue is hyper-independance-- if you could call it an issue at all.

❛ ⸻ TEN OF PENTACLES.
UPRIGHT: legacy, roots, family, ancestry, inheritance, windfall, foundations, privilege, affluence, stability, tradition
REVERSED: family disputes, bankruptcy, debt, fleeting success, conflict over money, instability, breaking traditions
card by @kaysuliah.
I chose ten of pentacles as it represents family, and Suliah has an immensely complicated relationship with everyone she has considered to be her family, but her brother is at the front of it all. In the card it's nighttime, and he is holding her by her neck, with a moon behind them. Suliah's themes all lean toward the sun and light, with her brother being her opposite, and it's his themes that dictate the vibes of the card, mirroring how his whims have dictated much of Suliah's life. He holds her by her throat, threatening any misstep with violence, representing their relationship.

Carrying on a legacy is not so meaningful as simply handing over another the strings to your limbs, heart, and mind. Each coffer and coin is a trick; a great game with those who don't know the rules, shoring up all one can for the Fury and dearest Mother. Turn the card over. Excess. Power. Greed. A puppet playing pretend at puppeteer.
❛ ⸻ PAGE OF PENTACLES.
UPRIGHT: ambitious, diligent, goal oriented, planner, consistent, star student, studious, grounded, loyal, faithful, dependable
REVERSED: foolish, immature, irresponsible, lazy, underachiever, procrastinator, missed chances, poor prospects
card by @nerevar_xeph.
"she cherishes the body, for it too is something which is a manifestation of her element"Her body. Her arms. The gold. The coin. Also, during the time depicted in the card, she is finally coming to grips with the loss of her original arm, and finding the resolve and energy needed to continue to the next part of her adventure, and that she has good friends that will support her along the way.
card by @WardenEater.
The Page of Pentacles is a card of plenty as given by the land, deeply tied to the earth, nature, and all of its gifts. Cirina is one who is strong in that connection, and at peace for it, knowing what she has and wishes to protect here in her home.
❛ ⸻ KNIGHT OF PENTACLES.
UPRIGHT: practical, reliable, efficient, stoic, slow and steady, hard-working, committed, patient, conservative
REVERSED: workaholic, laziness, dull, boring, no initiative, cheap, irresponsible, gambler, risky investments
card by @eliguydesan.
The Knight of Pentacles is the most fitting card for Sanson the Stiff, capturing his hard-working nature and rigidity to routine and regulations, much to the dismay of others. He isn't afraid of hard work or roadblocks to his goal, and he isn't one to leave things done halfway, qualities that are highlighted by the Knight of Pentacles. Even as he becomes less stiff during the quest's progression, he still keeps to his methodical ways, playing as the grounding party to Guydelot's free spirited ways.
card by @tinyherbo.
"Dutiful and responsible, skilled and focused. She works steadily and without flinching to see her task through."This card immediately made me think of Tataru! She's got all the idealism and optimism of the other Knights but she knows that nothing but patience and hard work will make her dreams a reality.
❛ ⸻ QUEEN OF PENTACLES.
UPRIGHT: generous, caring, nurturing, homebody, good business sense, practical, comforting, welcoming, sensible, luxurious
REVERSED: selfish, unkempt, jealous, insecure, greedy, materialistic, gold digger, intolerant, self-absorbed, envious
card by @itsblorbotime.
I wanted to put Valentine in the Shroud, which is the closest place he's ever found to Golmore, where he grew up, and to which he can never return. Of course, the moogles wanted to help. He's depicted in the role of Queen of Pentacles -- symbolic when upright of nurturing, compassion, comfort, and a desire to spread prosperity -- as a White Mage, keeper of the art of Succor as gifted to mankind by the elementals.
card by @meadowbreaker.
I wanted to emphasize: generous, caring, nurturing, comforting, welcoming in this!
card by @OhGoshOhwe.
To me, this card held a connection to one of my OCs, who succumbs to the temptation to gain a great deal of power and ultimately descends into madness. Where once she was a respected healer for her village, she becomes a blight to those who meet her. This card was posted as a set of two, meant to represent both the upright and reversed meanings of the card.

❛ ⸻ KING OF PENTACLES.
UPRIGHT: abundance, prosperity, security, ambitious, safe, kind, patriarchal, protective, businessman, provider, sensual, reliable
REVERSED: greed, materialistic, wasteful, chauvanist, poor financial decisions, gambler, exploitative, possessive
